Jeanne Taylor, Executive Vice President of MSG Promotions, Inc., has been with the company since 1997. In that time, among other responsibilities, she has filled the roles of Championship Director for the 2000 U.S. Senior Open and Director of Marketing for U.S. Open Championships. Prior to her tenure with MSG, she held the position of Championship Director for both the 1997 U.S. Open and 1995 U.S. Senior Open Championships at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD, and was Championship Manager for the 1992 U.S. Senior Open at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, PA.
From 1986 to 1991, Jeanne was at Rutgers University: four years as the Assistant Director of Sports Media Relations and one year in the athletic department’s Marketing & Communications office. She also worked with the United States Olympic Committee as a publicist and media coordinator, contributing to events including the 1983 USA Pan American Team Trials, the 1984 USA Basketball Olympic Team Trials, and the U.S. Olympic Festivals in Houston, TX (1986) and Durham, NC (1987). She served as the women’s basketball media liaison for the gold-medal winning USA team at the XXIV Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. In 1989, she was one of two U.S. media representatives at the World University Games in Duisburg, West Germany.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Iona College, where she was a three-year starter and senior captain for the Gael’s women’s basketball team. She received her Master’s degree in Sports Communications from the University of Tennessee. While attending UT, she was a graduate assistant in sports information. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Taylor currently resides in Center Valley, PA.
