Saucon Valley Country Club, founded in 1920, lies nestled in the Lehigh Valley an hour north of Philadelphia and slightly more than an hour west of New York City.  Over the years, the Club has grown from 18 holes and a clubhouse to become one of the largest private clubs in North America, encompassing 800 acres and three outstanding golf courses.

This is the first time a major women’s golf championship will be played in the Lehigh Valley and the sixth USGA Championship to be conducted at this venue.  Saucon Valley Country Club hosted the U.S. Amateur in 1951, the U.S. Junior Amateur in 1983, the U.S. Senior Amateur in 1987, and the U.S. Senior Open in 1992 and 2000.  If you would like to contact us regarding the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open, click here.
