MSG Promotions, Inc. has been involved with major events since its inception in 1983.  Although there has been an emphasis on golf, MSG has managed and sold a myriad of events including the Super Bowl and the Lehigh Valley Health Network Marathon for Via.

In 1993, MSG Promotions, Inc. was selected by the United States Golf Association as the exclusive corporate hospitality marketing and management company for the 1995 U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, NY. On the heels of that successful event, the USGA continued their working relationship with MSG through several contracts with the current agreement extending through 2021.

Under Mimi Griffin’s direction, the USGA’s hospitality sales for the U.S. Open since 1995 have produced revenues in excess of $250 million. In 2008 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, CA, MSG Promotions established a new record for U.S. Open hospitality sales by surpassing the $17 million mark while managing the involvement of over 250 different corporate clients.

In addition to the U.S. Open, MSG staff members have served as the management team for several other USGA events including the 1992, 1995 and 2000 U.S. Senior Opens as well as the 1995 and 2009 U.S. Women’s Opens.

The following is a list of some of the events in MSG’s portfolio.
